Star plus’s dance reality show Dance+5 has set new benchmarks of excellence in the world of dance and raised the entertainment quotient with some dhamakedar performances by its talented contestants. This weekend, the show will take its viewers down memory lane as for the first time ever the handsome superstar Anil Kapoor and his screen brother Jackie Shroff come together on the small screen and grace the stage of Dance+ to encourage aspiring dancers for their journey.
The ardent viewers of the show will be in for an extra entertainment bonanza as the talented contestants of the show pays a grand tribute to the legendary actor Anil Kapoor. Overwhelmed with the contestants’ performance, Anil started sharing his memories from the movie Ram Lakhan. Adding a funny twist, his screen brother from the same movie, Jackie Shroff requested Anil Kapoor to wear a saree and perform to the song My name is Lakhan. In fact, Jackie himself got a Blue saree and draped it around Anil Kapoor. Anil Kapoor gleefully accepted the proposal and effortlessly performed to the song Aji Oji along with Jackie Shroff, Remo D’Souza, Dharmesh, Punit, Suresh, and the host Raghav Juyal.
Apart from shaking a leg with the judges, host and the contestants of the show, the viewers will witness some jaw-dropping performances by Janam Group to Pyaar Yeh Jana Kaisa Hai and by Bhim to Ae Watan Tere Liye.
tanvi’s mythological debut
Actress Tanvi Dogra who is all set to make her mythological debut with &TV’s Santoshi Maa: Sunaye Vrat Kathayein is leaving no stone unturned to get into the skin. In the show, Tanvi will be seen essaying the role of Swati who is an ardent devotee of Maa Santoshi. The shoot for the show that is about to commence has given Tanvi enough time to perfectly prepare for her character that hails from Bihar. Apart from that, she has also started fasting, keeping in line with the show that focuses on the importance and stories on vrats. And now, working on the language and dialect of a Bihari village belle, the actress found an innovative way of learning.
While many actors turn to books and movies to understand the nuances of the character they are set to play, Tanvi on the other hand has taken up an innovative and educative way of learning the same. Luckily, her house help is also from Bihar and has been instrumental in the process of helping her prepare for the character. In return, as a sweet gesture, Tanvi has started teaching her English. Apart from her house help teaching her the language, she has also suggested a list of movies that have simple and easy Bihari dialects.
“One day, I was watching a Bhojpuri film when my house help came in, she was taken aback seeing me watching a Bhojpuri film. That is when I recalled that she herself is from Bihar and can help me with the Bihari accent and style of talking. In return, I decided to teach her English as I have seen her interest in speaking the language. It has been a wonderful time exchanging knowledge with her and has benefited both of us equally,” she says.
Tanvi is not only perfecting her Bihari accent but also doing a lot of research on the practice of fasting as the show highlights the significance of each vrat followed in Hinduism.
jatin-lalit reunite
History has been created on the sets of Indian Idol Season 11 as the superhit musical jodi Jatin-Lalit hugs each other and patch things with each other. The musical Jodi who has given so many spectacular songs to the fraternity reunited after 13 years on the sets of the show.
They mentioned Fanna was the last movie on which they worked together which got them a national award and post that because of some differences they stopped working together. Aditya asked them a question that will both of them ever come together for a movie, even Vishal and Neha joined him saying that they request both of them to come together for a movie as everyone misses their superhit Jodi and the magical music which they created. They both hugged and sang a song together remembering old days. Lalit also touched Jatin’s feet out of respect. Lalit also mentioned: “I miss Jatin a lot and whenever our group is together, We all do mention about his quirky humour.”
Jatin and Lalit’s sons were also present on the show. Neha said to his sons they should try to get their fathers together as parents always listen to their children.

Produced by Peninsula Pictures &TV’s upcoming mythological show Kahat Hanuman...Jai Shri Ram is all set to narrate the tale of Hanuman and bring to its viewers a fresh perspective on one of the greatest Indian Gods.
To essay the role of Narad Muni, Sanjay Kaushik who has replaced actor Raj Singh is putting his best foot forward to portray the role with finesse. In the past, Sanjay has acted in varied drama shows and will now be making his mythological debut. The show is set to take the viewers on an interesting mythological journey of how Bal Hanuman eventually emerges as the greatest devotee of Lord Ram.
Speaking about stepping into this character, Sanjay said: “I am quite excited to step into the mythological space, I believe that playing mythological characters can teach you a lot about acting that a normal character often can’t. Narad’s character comes as an exciting opportunity to me because this it gives a fresh perspective of my image to the audience. Considering this role has been efficiently played by many actors in the past, legendary actor Kader Khan’s performance remains my favourite and the opportunity of playing the same character as him is quite a challenge in disguise which I look forward to overcoming with this show. Moreover, I am glad to make my debut in this space with such an interesting and light-hearted being that invariably manages to keep an audience entertained. I didn’t think twice of the challenges that this space or character brings and literally accepted the role in one go. We have just begun shooting for the show and over just a few weeks I have noticed a new maturity level in my act. I truly the hope the audience notices and appreciates this side too.”
