I am not into boy bands but the girls around me in a morning show told me these ones are really popular. The hall at 10 am was full of 16-20 something girls going nuts over the chocolate boys of similar ages looking them in the eye and singing “kiss you” from the big flat screen.

These girls swoon all around you, they yell in ecstasy, they whistle, they chant for louder sound and they sing along loudly. Obviously, the documentary on this UK boy band which emerged as a vertical wonder after losing the top slot narrowly at X Factor, does its business — of cashing in on the overnight “Tokyo to Mexico” global popularity of this band of boys so blonde and beautiful that you know you might as well dance to their tune till the magic lasts.

The documentary has been hand-carved from some of their shows’ live footage and some back-of-stage shots to document their daily life in the maze of success. The fan gatherings and the mob hysteria around them has been captured well though their “we are very grounded boys” depiction looks somewhat artificial.

The songs that they sing to you are doubtlessly foot-tapping, at the same time drawing at your heartstrings, but it would’ve been great to know more about their private moments than what this one manages to document.
