Crime Patrol is now 7X7 days. SATENDRA SINGH catches up with its host ANUP SONI who tells him why crime is a hot seller, why the new tagline and the mechanics of a daily slotting

Now that Crime Patrol is seven days a week, has the theme changedIJ

We have a new tagline — Sabak Ek Ko Milta Hai, Seekh Poore Desh Ko. The purpose will be to send across a message to the masses that they need to learn from the mistake that another person has committed. The theme has continuously been changing since it started in 2003. Satark told you how every crime gives you a signal before it takes place. Kaash showcased a person’s regret after committing a crime.Sabak will show how people should learn what is right and what they should not do to stay away from trouble.

Will a daily slotting cut into the show’s popularityIJ

Definitely not. The show is being aired seven days a week only because people want to see it. People want to watch Crime Patrol everyday so that they can be more aware of what is happening in the world they live in. They want to know the changing face of crime and be prepared and prepare their children.

How has the show changed your life at a personal levelIJ

I will not say it has changed me immensely but it has changed me in a positive manner. I get to learn a lot from what I am saying and I try to implement those sayings in my life.

You have worked in TV and Bollywood. Which one is easierIJ

All mediums are the same and I have to be satisfied with what I am doing. The medium is not so important.

Why only Crime Patrol and no other showIJ

First it has to be a good role; if something very interesting comes my way, I will definitely do it. But for now, to do another show is difficult because Crime Patrol is seven days a week.
