The mega game show Kaun Banega Crorepati will bid adieu this month-end and November first week see a replacement with historical drama Porus and a family drama in Ristha likhenge Hum Naya on Sony Entertainment Television.

After giving us fascinating shows on India’s rich history and mythology like Mahakali, Mahabharat and Suryaputra Karn, Siddharth Kumar Tewary’s most ambitious show Porus will narrate the untold story of India’s strongest and greatest warrior defender Porus who was the king of the Pauravas. Porus fought against Alexander The Great in the Battle of the Hydaspes and got defeated. Impressed by his adversary, Alexander returned Porus his kingdom though he had won the war.

Shot across multiple unexplored international locations, Porus promises to be one of the grandest and the most expensive show ever on the Indian television. The makers of the show Pehredaar Piya Ki, which was pulled out abruptly for its regressive content that showed an 18-year-old girl marrying a 10-year-old boy, are back with another show Rishta likhenge Hum Naya with the same starcast. Set in the sweeping royal canvas of Rajasthan, the finite story will challenge the conventional perception of a man being the protector of a woman and turn this stereotypical thought on its head.
