It’s only two days old and KBC already has its first crorepati of this season — Taj Mohammed Rangrez, a history teacher from Udaipur, Rajasthan.
After receiving the big cheque, an elated Taj said: “It is a moment to rejoice & celebrate and extremely difficult to believe. It is splendid to know that I am the first contestant this season to win Rs 1 crore. I did not want to exhaust my lifelines at the start of the game. Now that I have won, my priority remains to treat my seven-year-old daughter who is partially blind. I also wish to buy a house, educate three underprivileged girls and get two orphan girls married,” he said. Rangrez is the first contestant from Udaipur to win Rs 1 crore. A teacher with Fatehgarh school, he has been teaching for 10 years. He did not use a lifeline till the 9th question for Rs 12.50 lakh. He was joined on stage by his elder sister.
