3 storeys

Rated: 6/10
All those people who say that Bollywood doesn’t make films where the story is king should go and watch this one. It doesn’t have the usual Bollywood masala nor the song-dance sequences. So a movie not for the masses.
Going by the title of the movie — 3 Storeys — one might be misled that it is yet again a run-of-the-mill kind of film. But it throws in a lot of twists that are interesting. Not just the twist but the way the film progresses is captivating as well.
Then there is acting by Renuka Shahane who needs a special mention here. She is back on the big screen after a very long gap and it appears that the break has done wonders for her. Not only does she need to be applauded for her brilliant performance, whoever has done her make-up needs a pat on the back for a job well-done too. Richa Chadda, Sharman Joshi, Masumeh Makhija — all have done their part contributing towards a movie that walks on the lines of the brilliant art of story-telling with a mystery woven in, something that few in Bollywood have masters.
Watch this one for Renuka Shahane’s great performance.
