Total Siyapaa

Starring: Ali Zafar, Yami Gautam, Anupam Kher, Kirron Kher, Sara Khan

Rated: 5/10

Siyapaa is funny in parts and that’s about it. There comes a time, especially, during the second half, that the audience might get a little impatient. There is no problem with the editing or the screenplay but one feels director E Niwas could have done much much better with the cast ensemble he had. Kirron Kher was her usual brilliant self in the film, almost as natural as she would be at her home, perhaps. Anupam Kher as a poor victim of an accident could have been given more screen space. The younger lot also did their bit. But still there was something amiss with Total Siyapaa.

One would have expected a film with such a unique storyline to be a total fun riot but it falls short on many counts. For one, there is a desperate need for change of scenery (the film is almost entirely shot in the house of the protagonist), then there is Zaffar’s worried and confused look which he carries from the start to finish (someone needs to tell him that acting is about a gamut of expressions).

Watch this for a few witty one-liners that leave you wanting more.
