Chhota Bheem: Himalayan Adventure

Rated: 5.5/10

Almost everyone knows Chhota Bheem and his friends. This time, they find themselves on the slopes of Manali to enjoy the snowfall. Of course, it is Chhota Bheem so can trouble be far behindIJ In fact, he and his friends land themselves in the middle of big trouble.

It is good that Bollywood has started making animation films and improving upon the technique. But, of course, one can’t compare these films to those that Hollywood makes, which has the time and a huge budget to go with it.

The good part is that it is able to entertain you even though it is a 90-minute film. It captures your attention on many counts. First, it has a desi flavour to it that children will be able to identify with — the story unfolds in Himachal Pradesh. Second, the fight sequences and Chhota Bheem’s stunts are more frequent including him munching of theladoos from Dhokalpur.  Third, while the story is simple, it is crisp and nowhere does it appear to drag or become boring even for the adults.

On the whole, it is a movie that the children will enjoy from the word go as it has some funny moments.
