For those who don’t know much about the Star War movies, here’s a bit of information. Rogue One... is the first stand-alone film in the Star Wars series directed by Gareth Edwards and written by Chris Weitz and Tony Gilroy. Therefore, in some ways, it a movie that is meant for the fans. This is because there is no way that one can cheer for a series that doesn’t create the suspense or the excitement that Star Wars: The Force Awakens managed to do when it was released last year.
For the uninitiated into the world of Star Wars films, this is can be termed as a prequel to a sequel — a mix in between. Though it is called rogue, there is nothing roguish about this movie except for the fact the destruction that the Death Star’s nuclear effect. Not that it required much emphasis.
Even though the appearance of Vader lasts for less than 20 seconds and is shown soaking up some downtime in a volcanic planet, it is sure to make the fans sigh in pure bliss.
Those who have never seen a Star Wars film, a word of advise. See this movie as one would watch any other film. Any attempt to do so otherwise will definitely leave one confused and take away the brilliant cinematography that Rogue One... has to offer.
