New show

They say marriage is not a destination but a journey that two people set out on together. It is all about finding perfections in each other's imperfections rather than forcing the other to change so as to fit a societal mould or your own personal preferences. So, then why should a girl change herself or portray herself to be someone she is not in order to land a suitable match in the marriage marketIJ

Drawing insights from this ideology, Zee TV is all set to launch a new fiction offering, Kaleerein — the story of Meera, a small-town girl from Punjab who has a different take on relationships and what they entail. The show is produced by Nikhil Sinha’s Triangle Films and will go on air starting February 5, 2018, at 7:30 pm on Zee TV.

Kaleerein will trace Meera’s journey as she chooses to assert her individuality against the reality of bride grooming schools that are mushrooming all over Punjab — schools that prescribe a pre-defined bucket-list of must-have qualities for a bride to land a great groom. A free-willed and spirited girl fuelled by her passion to live life on her own terms, Meera values her uniqueness and is in search of a suitor who will accept her for the person she truly is.

Making her debut as the effervescent Meera will be newbie Aditi Sharma while popular actor Arjit Taneja will be seen as the male protagonist in the show.

Sajid Khan replaces Anurag Basu

The previous episodes of Sony Entertainment Television’s kids dance reality show Super Dancer Chapter 2 saw Farah Khan as the guest on the show who shared a lot of memories from her early days, audiences saw her bond with Geeta Kapur and she also got on stage to showcase her classic moves. The upcoming episode will see Sajid Khan, not as a guest but as a judge. The filmmaker and comedy man will take over Anurag Basu’s chair and judge the performances. When we caught up with Sajid Khan he says: “I think the Khan parivar is completely ready to take over Super Dancer Chapter 2. last week my elder sister Farah Khan, who I jokingly call my elder brother was here and today, I’m honoured enough to be on the show amongst my dear friends Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Geeta Kapur. Sitting on the Judge’s chair which belongs to Anurag Basu feels great! He is such a good human being and a good filmmaker. I genuinely want to keep coming on this show not because I’ve replaced Anurag Basu but because I’m a fan of this show. The kids possess some outstanding talent and I am excited to be here.”

Anurag Basu, who is the most loved judge, couldn’t be a part of the shoot as he has was busy with Saraswati Pooja. Sajid Khan took his place and is sure to keep up the momentum with his witty comic timings. Watch Super Dancer Chapter 2 every Saturday and Sunday, 8 pm on Sony Entertainment Television!
