Color’s larger-than-life mythological show Karmphal Data Shani will take a 10-year leap on Monday and will show Rohit Khurana as the grown up Shani.
Shani will return to Sooryalok with a totally different personality from what we have seen so far. This Shani is completely detached and doesn’t care about any relationships or padvi — someone who is neither regretful nor delighted to be back. His mother, who was closest to him, now holds a grudge against him as she holds him responsible for her daughter Bhadra’s death.
Yam’s role will be played by Sachin Yadav and Yami’s character will be portrayed by Kajol Srivastava. Yam and Yami are all set to return to Sooryalok after a decade, after completing their education from Guru Brihaspati. They will be showcasing distinct personalities. Yam loathes Shani, under the influence of Indra, while Yami will be shown as caring and soft-hearted.
Karmphal Data Shani, post the leap, will definitely have a lot to offer to the viewers. Tune-in every Monday to Friday at 9 pm on Colors.
Zee TV unveils Aaj likhenge Kal
The Zee TV unveils its new ideology, encapsulated in a powerful line — Aaj likhenge Kal. Through its inspiring characters and stories, the channel endeavours to provide the spark that encourages its viewers to draw from their own inner strength and take charge of their destinies. This fresh reiteration of its brand purpose urges the audiences to curate their own extraordinary future. This new brand identity was revealed to Zee TV’s global audiences Sunday, October 15 starting 7 pm. PM.
The four shows that will be launched under this new strapline include Raaja Beta, Kalirein, Aapke Aa Jana Se and Shubaan Allah.
Each element of the new look signifies the aspiration of the great Indian middle class. The circular logo denotes the universal appeal of Zee TV’s all-inclusive content. The orange colour represents the inner glow or radiance that emanates from within — a symbol of positivity and confidence that the brand echoes. The brand packaging will be brought alive through elements of nature such as fire, earth, water, air – the diya which represents light and hope, the blooming of an orange flower that stands for the beauty of life and evolution, gold that denotes eternal richness and mosaic which enunciates the power of synergy that stems from several fragmented pieces coming together to form a beautiful whole.
Zee TV will set yet another precedent for the industry – a format innovation in the Hindi GEC space - a first-of-its-kind brand feature film titled ‘Aaj likhenge Kal’. The feature film will span its entire primetime of four and a half hours integrating through all of Zee TV’s fiction offerings. This film narrates a young girl Pakhi’s resolve to make her mother Meera realise her dream of becoming a medical officer for the naval forces will have each of Zee TV’s popular fiction protagonists stepping in to help the mother-daughter duo in their quest for self-actualisation.
laado is back with a new chapter
Color’s new show laado2 has been the talk of the town since the announcement of Meghna Malik’s return as the dreaded, but highly popular, Ammaji in the second chapter of the cult show Na Ana Is Des laado. A show is never complete without an antagonist, and laado2 will see Ammaji lock horns with the talented Rituraj K Singh playing the negative role, as Bhagwant Chaudhary. In his late 40’s, he is the arch nemesis of Ammaji. Extremely ambitious, cunning, cruel and selfish - he runs all sorts of illegal businesses and dreams of acquiring every inch of Veerpur's land, and turning it into a smart city with his billboards plastered all over.
Avika Gor will return to TV as Anushka, Ammaji’s elder granddaughter and the show’s protagonist. She plays the role of a final year law student – very bright and righteous and believes in the power of the law and doesn’t consider anyone above it - not even her Ammaji.
Depicting the role of a larger-than-life personality, Meghna as Ammaji will now be seen playing a caring grandmother who loves her family and can go to any extent to protect her granddaughters. Though she motivates them and wants them to stand on their own feet, she can be the most frightening person that one can come across.
