Rode to play Karn

Gautam Rode, television’s most loved actor is all set to play the role of Karn in Sony Entertainment Television’s period drama Suryaputra Karn. Rode will take over from Basant Bhatt who is at present playing the 17-year-old Karn in the show. Talking about his role, Rode said: “I am thrilled to play the role of Karn. As an actor I love exploring different characters and Karn is the kind of role which is completely different from what I have played so far. In Mahabharata, Karn’s character is the most interesting one. He always stood for karma rather than dharma. He did everything for the people and hence was known as daanvir. I am looking forward to start shooting for the show.”To catch all the action, stay tuned to the show, Monday to Thursday at 8:30 pm.
