Wanted on Bigg Boss

If it is not enough to watch our politicians make fools of themselves in the House or on national news channels, it appears that we will now have to see them perform on Bigg Boss 8. There are reports that Kundan Singh, a politician from Bihar, has been approached for the reality show this year.

He was quoted as saying: “The producer requested me to work in the show. I have asked him to give me some time to decide. I will let him know about my decision when he will call me again.”

Sources say that this year, there is a move to have two participants with a criminal background from Bihar and UP. Singh has been named in over a dozen criminal cases, including those of murder, kidnapping and extortion.

Only once a week, now

Comedy Nights with Kapil on Colors has been in the news off and on — from Gutthi leaving the show, to coming back, to reports that the show will go off air as the host Kapil Sharma has been flooded with film offers.

Then there were reports that Sharma was no longer be a part of the movie Bank Chor, so the show will continue. But now, it seems, Sharma has bagged a role in another movie and will have to juggle film and show shoots which means the show may be reduced to a once-a-week spectacle.

Clarifying, Sharma said: “With God’s grace and the love of my fans I was receiving many film offers but I was not able to take them up because of my show. My first priority is my show as there are many actors who had to do more than 200-250 movies to become stars while I got stardom through a single show. Now I am looking for something new which excites me and want to work in movies. It is impossible for me to spare time from the twice a week show. I am trying to make it once a week. So that I can give time to movies as well.”

New male lead

Sources say that Ek Mutthi Aasmaan on Zee TV has got a new male lead Kunal Verma who has already begun shooting. Verma is all set to play Aryan (an NRI), a friend to Suhana’s (Asha Negi) new family.
