The first meeting of 2016 of South Eastern Railway’s advisory body ZRUCC was concluded in Kolkata on September 22. The meeting was chaired by SER GM AK Goyal and attended by about 25 members of ZRUCC from Bihar, Odisha, Bengal and Jharkhand.
MPs lakshman Gilua, Vidyut Varan Mahto (Jharkhand); Jaina Jee (Odisha) alongwith MP representatives Sajjan Sarraf, Mukesh Kumar and Ashok Nagpal and Chhotanagpur passengers Association General Secretary Arun tiwari also put fourth their suggestions before the SER GM. Gilua and Tiwari demanded to start work on Namkum-Kandra project. Mukesh Kumar, Sajjan Sarraf and Ashok Nagpal welcomed the fact that the Ranchi Ernakulum racks have arrived.
They demanded to start the train soon and reiterated their demand to start Ranchi-Dehradun direct train aprt from direct train to Indore from Ranchi. They also demanded full coaches in Hatia Pune train and asked to begin the lohardaga Tori rail service soon. The ZRUCC members also demanded to hold the next meeting in Ranchi.
