Union Minister of State for Minority Welfare Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi reiterated that the country maintains zero tolerance on the issue of terrorism without making any compromises with terrorism or anti-national activities.  Naqvi, while talking to media persons at BJP headquarters here on Tuesday, also added that the government’s resolution to bring prosperity to everyone has swiftly been brought on the ground.

“I want to repeat it again that our government has been going along with the policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism without making any compromises either with terrorism or anti-national activities. It is our duty to bring enemies of this nation to their consequences,” Naqvi said. The same has also been felt by those people also who are creating disturbances across the world in the name of ‘jehaad,’ he said.

Referring to some of the Congress leaders engaged in creating a sense of confusion over Pathankot attack through ‘political campaigns,’ he said that Modi Government and security forces have been working with a strong nationalistic commitment on the issue of national security and terrorism. “Now, entire world is with India and the evil forces, responsible for terrorism have been isolated,” said Naqvi.

Naqvi further added that Modi Government’s resolution to provide 3Rs – Roti, Rozi and Residence--to everyone, was being brought on the ground very swiftly.

“When there is an economic slowdown across the world and several countries are being grappled by financial crisis, we have a strong environment of economic stability in India,” said the Union Minister of State. “Present growth rate over GDP is around 7 per cent and India is progressing with economic stability,” he added.

According to Naqvi, welfare schemes have started yielding results at the ground level due to transparency and strong intentions. “Our target of Sabka Saath and Sabka Vikas was going to be fulfilled now,” he added.  He further added that Modi Government at the Centre has been working with honesty for overall development of all sections of the society for the last 19 months. Several measures are being taken for socio-economic and educational empowerment of the poor, farmers, tribals, dalits, minorities, youths and women, he added.

Naqvi, however, admitted that there is a need to create a sense of confidence among minorities in the country and also to work with commitment for connecting them to the mainstream. “We should not create an atmosphere where any of the section of the society should feel alienated. It is the motive of Modi Government at the Centre as well as Raghubar Das Government in Jharkhand or the party as a whole, to provide a sense of security to everyone.

Naqvi was here as a part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative to connect with the people at grassroot level.
