The 30th Pakhraj Saheb Dr Kartik Oraon memorial cycle race was organized by Vikas Bharti Bishunpur here on Thursday. The race was started from Baxi Deepa ground that ended at Jatra Tana Bhagat statue, Chingri, covering a distance of 51 km on the eve the Union minister-cum-MP Sudarshan Bhagat, Secretary of Vikas Bharti Padma Shri Ashok Bhagat, Mandar MlA Gangotri Kujur, ex MlA Ramesh Oraon, district council president Sunaina Kumari, DC Vinod Kumar, vice president of Vikas Bharti Praveen Kumar Singh were present.
On the occasion, Sudarshan Bhagat said, “The youth must follow the virtues of Mahatma, Gandhi, Jai Prakash Narayan and Swami Vivekananda. Vikash Bharti Youth Skills Jharkhand Mahotsav supports the ideals of Jatra Tana Bhagat.”
“We must take inspiration from the life of Dr Kartik Oraon. The Mahotsav has been organized to trace out the skills of the youth,” he added. DC Vinod Kumar said, “The youth must be head to take part in any type of competition.” Praveen Kumar Singh said, “The organization has been organizing the cycle race for last 35 years. It spreads the message for the youth to be free of addiction and to be skillful.”
In the programme Ashok Bhagat made the people take cleanliness oath under the programme Cleanliness is Services. On the occasion the MlA Gangorti Kujur, Bees Sutri vice head Rakesh Prasad, Panav Pathak and many others were present.
