Traders of the State appear to have imposed faith in young leaders, not overlooking experienced ones though in Chamber elections, as Ranjeet Garodia is likely to acquire presidential chair at Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries in one of the most close battle elections in recent years in the largest trade representative Organisation State.
As the counting was completed and was being checked and verified on Monday evening, team Ranjeet Garodia was leading with clear majority of 13 seats, while team Mukul Taneja appeared to have been forced to remain contented with eight out of total 21 office bearer positions as per constitution of the Chamber.
Both the team leaders, Garodia and Taneja were claiming clear leading numbers in this year election which saw highest number of voters turning to vote on Sunday from across the State. As many as 2,381 out of 3,002 voters entertained their franchise by the extended one hour time of voting closed at 6PM on Sunday. Taneja said on the day that though results surprised him, he was sure of doing whatever he could do to push his vision of taking Chamber to every nook and corner of the State and make it true representative of business fraternity in State. Garodia however declined to comment before result was finally declared.
