Enmity with a neighbouring family over a love affair led to the brutal murder of a 28-year-old youth. His body was found at a street near his house Dundibazaar area under City police station area.
Police sources said that the body of victim, Shiva Kahar, a resident of Dundibazaar village, located along the Chas road body bore the marks of stabbing in the chest.
Police in-Charge Chandra Mohan Hansda said this to be a murder which was an outcome of a prolonged affair between a 25-year-old Guriya Devi wife of the victim Shiva Kahar and the neighbour Pappu. Officer-in-charge, City police station, Chandra Mohan Handsa said that Pappu who worked as a dailywage worker at Bokaro area had an affair with Guria Devi wife Shiva Kahar since the past few years, and used to meet her regularly. "As per our investigation on Tuesday, Guria called Pappu, asking him to meet behind a house late in the night on Monday. As he approached the woman, he was surrounded by Shiva Kahar who attacked him with traditional weapon," said the officer-in-charge.
But he said the Pappu who came with knives killed him by stabbing and mutilating his head with boulders. The officer-in-charge said that in this connection, Guria Devi wife Shiva Kahar has lodged an FIR with the police station.
The police have his body for a post-mortem to the Chas sub-divisional hospital after a case under section of conspiracy and murder was registered against Papu, and others on the basis of the FIR.
