The family members of a 28-year youth, who died a week ago in Tokyo in Japan, are still waiting for his body to arrive so that they can perform the last rites. Chandan Kumar Barnwal, who was working for a Pune-based software company KPIT went for a training programme at Tokyo, reportedly died of  heart attack there.

The parents of Barnwal were still seeking reasons behind death of their son. “A few days back, he had left for Tokyo and on January 17, we received his death message”, said Suresh Prasad Barnwal, uncle of the deceased. We got the message that Chandan died after a heart stroke, but we are yet to receive his body, said Suresh.

“On Thursday, we received a call from a company person who said, it may take 10-12 days to get the body as there is rush in aircrafts and we are getting difficulties in sending the body at the earliest,” he added. Manohar Prasad Barnwal, the father of the deceased, who runs a hardware shop at Jaina More in Bokaro, said that they were concerned about their son and the family members were also waiting to know the causes of his death.

“We donot know how he died. We hope that the death certificate will give us some answers,” said his father. Chandan, a resident of Sudha Colony, Jaina More joined the firm KPIT at Pune one year ago. He had already attended the training programme twice at Tokyo. This time, his training was scheduled to conclude on January 14 but later, it was extended till February and on January 17, we got his death message, said his father Manaohar Prasad.

Shocked after the incident, the family members begged for the dead body of Barnwal and sought help from Bokaro DC Uma Shankar Singh and Jharkhand Government for getting his son’s body as soon as possible.
