XlRI’s flagship annual business summit started on buoyant note. Anand Sen, president of Tata Steel’s TQM and steel business inaugurated the meet.

Sen struck a rapport with the students gathered at the Fr. Prabhu Hall with his acknowledgement of the importance of the theme ‘Ideate Radically, Grow Sustainably’. He further urged the student mix comprising of teams from top B-schools of the country to think simple and not confuse ideation with complication.

The event was presided over by Fr. James Santhanam, dean of student affairs and Prof. Pranabesh Ray, dean of academics at XlRI. Day 1 was marked by the start of the spotlight event, Tata Administrative Services ‘Next Gen leader’ which aims to discover leadership potential in the bright minds of the youth across top institutions such as IIM-A, IIM-l, IIM-B, IIM-I, XlRI, SPJAIN, IMT, MDI, XIMB and IIM-S.  TAS, which is also the title sponsor for Ensemble will be granting a direct GD shortlist for the winner who also bags Rs. 1 lakh in prize money.
