World Environment Day was celebrated this year under the theme “Eco System Restoration” at Bokaro Steel Plant. BSL organised various programmes at plant, city and hospital level.
Tree plantation was done by Atanu Bhowmik, Executive Director (Works) on the premises of ED building in BSL. CGM (Maintenance) S Mukhopadhyay, CGM (Mechanics) PK Baisakhia, CGM (CED) Shaligram Singh, General Manager (Environmental Control) Naveen Prakash Srivastava and other officers and personnel were present on the occasion. Also during World Environment Day, intensive plantation program was started in Bokaro Steel Plant and city. The main function of Environment Day was organized by video conferencing and keeping in view the Covid-19 compliances, Chief General Managers and officers of the departments who did excellent work for environmental protection in the plant were present also present.
Bokaro Steel Plant has been awarded ELETS National Water Innovation Award-2020 by ELETS Techno Media and Ministry of Jal Shakti.
