Work at the Chiyanki air strip is in full swing and is going on round the clock for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit here on January 05. Even in this winter night artisans are working too hard. There are two circuit houses in Daltonganj old and new with less than a dozen rooms together and here there is not an inch for any other to stretch one’s leg.
Chiyanki airstrip is the new makeshift collectorate where officials are putting in their best. Sources said chief minister Raghubar Das is most expected to reach Daltonganj by air on Friday itself .
Similarly Governor Droupadi Murmu will arrive here by air on Saturday hours before the arrival of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
DC Palamu Shantanu Kumar Agrahari said administration has booked nearly all good serving hotels in the town. There are accommodations made available also in Betla. He declined to give details as to who would be where.
Palamu administration has made 85 entry points which will double up as exit ones too. SP Palamu Indrajeet Mahatha said 30 to 35 of these entry points will be for women while the remaining for the males.
Similarly five big openings have been made in the boundary wall of the Chiyanki air strip and two big openings in the school wall located there.
Chatra BJP MP Sunil K Singh said, “ I have made a humble suggestion to the union irrigation minister Nitin Gadkari ji and Union Minister of State for irrigation Arjun Singh Meghwal to rename the Mandal dam as Shaheed Nilamber Pitamber Jalashaya Yojna.
MP Chatra further said, “The two union ministers have given their oral consent to us. It will be renamed accordingly and as per the provisions so laid for renaming of any structure or institution.”
Chatra MP further said, “We ( Chatra & Palamu) MPs have given a written request to union ministry of art & culture to permit us to set up a statue of the two martyrs Nilamber and Pitamber in the region of the dam.”
Work at the Chiyanki air strip is at neck break speed under the lens of a full team of sleuths watching every digging for pole and erection of any pipe or such a thing like that.
