Unable to afford the education expenses of their three-and-half-year-old child and keen to provide him quality education, Kuldeep Prasad Gupta and his wife Saraswati Sahu are leaving no stone unturned to get their child admitted in a standard school in the State capital. Since January 2015, the couple has met several Government officials but no steps have been taken so far in this case.
The family Wednesday met Human Resource Development Minister Neera Yadav seeking help from her. “We have met the child and have asked several questions on various issues. This kid is a wonder boy and the department has decided to provide all necessary help but for the time being nothing has been finalised regarding the child’s education,” said personal secretary to HRD Minister, Abhay Kumar Singh.
The three and half year-old kid, Abhikshith Kumar, has in-depth knowledge in various subjects and he can solve complex issues of chemistry, physics, geography, science, Hindi and other major subjects. The couple is looking for someone who can promote his education and are constantly trying to admit their son in a reputed school.
“I am not capable of affording good education and I am worried about the future of my child. My earnings are dependent on farming. Moreover, I cannot afford any good tutors to teach him; I am only dependent upon the Government support. The future of my kids depends on good educational background,” said Kuldeep Prasad Gupta, father of Abhikshith Kumar.
Abhikshith is well-versed with formulae of chemistry equations, names of fruits, birds, spices, body parts, vegetables, flowers, colors, rivers, directions, tourist spots, freedom fighters, war heroes, capitals of over 100 nations as well as States, holy books, ornaments and computer hardware.
“Since January 2015, I am looking for some help and assistance from Government officials but so far I have been only disappointed by them. Officials only give us assurance but no one has ever considered the matter seriously. Private schools are expensive and it demands approach from any officials and high profile people to get admission,” added Gupta.
At present, child is guided by his father who is a graduate in History and, has not received any training or guidance from any professionals.
The child is a resident of Sarjamdih village situated at Tamar block. The couple has also consulted several NGOs who can support their child education but no private schools have contacted the couple yet for admitting the son. Though the couple has received support from Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) but it is still pending.
