The women wing of Junior Chamber International (JCI) ‘Udaan’ is all set to spread its wings and conquer the male dominated segment car rally soon. The first women’s car rally will be organized here on March 26. The rally being organized by the women, for the women and dedicated to the women is first of its kind arrangement being made in the State Capital, said the JCI, women wing’s president, Pallavi Saboo while briefing the media about the event.
The first ever women’s car rally is the joint endeavor of Ranchi Club and Ranchi Adventure Wheelers (RAW), the group known for wild adventurous rally and other related activities. Saboo also added that the main aim behind conducting this mega event on a wide scale is to pay tribute to the women, who through their sheer dedication and hard work are breaking the glass ceiling and have registered their strong presence in almost all the major streams.
“As we celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8, the car rally event will mark the occasion and will boost up the morale of females. Soon, more information will be disseminated about the event. This is the biggest event in the history of JCI and we are looking forward for participation of maximum number of females,” added Saboo.
The winner will be awarded with the hampers and goodies. All interested participants may collect the application forms from Suvidha Outlets, Autousing Centre Kanke Road and from the members of JCI ‘Udaan’ at the earliest.
“From the safety perspective as well, the event is being planned out by RAW, who had earlier participated and organized several motor events both in India and abroad,” added Saboo.
