The State Women's Commission team inspected the Sadar Hospital, Garhwa on Sunday. The team, headed by Chairperson Kalyani Sharan reached the Sadar Hospital's delivery room and in the women's ward and reviewed the situation. In this sequence, she reprimanded the staffs for dirty water that was being supplied in the ward from the toilets. She instructed to take special care on cleanliness.
In the woman's ward she also talked to Rita Devi who told that her brother in law Dev had attacked her. Kalyani Sharan said that if she wanted she can immediately call the police and lodged an FIR in this regard.
In the delivery room, the team gathered information about medicines, food etc. from the patients. She also inquired about money being taken during the treatment.
The team included Renu Devi, Poonam Prakash, Aarti Rana, Sharmila Soren, Rani Kasturi, Under Secretary Chandrashekhar Jha and others. During this time, CS Dr Hembram, Deputy Superintendent Dr NK Rajak, lady doctor Dr Ragini Agarwal and other health workers were present.
