A 65-year-old woman was found murdered in her house at Puraini under Bhanshidhar Nagar Police Station of the district, on Wednesday night. The deceased has been identified as Saheb Pal resident of Puraini Banshidhar Nagar. She was attacked with a sharp edged weapon and there were several injury marks on his body, police said. Police have registered a case against unknown persons under Section 302 of the IPC. The dead body has been sent to Garhwa Hospital for a postmortem examination.
Meanwhile, in another incident a 35 year old woman died on the spot when a vehcile dashed her on Bhawnathpur - Ketar road near Dasipur village under Ketar police station, on Thursday. The deceased has identified as Mina Devi a resident of village Dasipur under Ketar police station. Police said that deceased coming from the Chechariya village when a bolero crushed her. She died on the spot. People nabbed the driver when he tried to escape and handed him over to the police. To protest of the death of woman, villagers blocked the main road around 3 and half hours. The blockade was lifted after assurance for action by the officials.
