In a gruesome incident in Giridih, one Prasadi Pandit (40) was killed by his wife and two others. They also assaulted Prasadi at Pokharia village under the Bagodar police station of Giridih.
The officer in-charge, Satis Kumar of Bagodar police station, said that Dhaneshwari Devi (wife of Prasadi Pandit) blamed that she has been tortured mentally as well as physically by her husband. Police arrested Dhaneshwari Devi and three others include Kashi Pandit, Atwari Mahto and Khem lal Mahto and also recovered the weapon used in the murder.
“The accused is yet to confess, but on the basis of primary investigation we have arrested the wife, her brother and two others and send them to judicial custody,” the officer in-charge said. Sources said that Dhaneshwari Devi wife of Prasadi Pandit along with her brother and two their co-villagers, killed her husband with an axe at his house at Pokharia village under the Bagodar police station, about 25 km from Bermo head quarter. The local residents found that her husband has been murdered. They informed the local police and the body was sent to the Giridih sadar hospital for autopsy. The police lodged an FIR against Dheneshwari Devi and three others .
