Officials and ground staff of South division of Tiger Reserve Palamu controlled the surface forest fire in Wolf Sanctuary at Aksi and Parewa, said MK Mahaling, the deputy director south of PTR.
Mahaling said the fire broke out last evening which was controlled by 3.30 morning of Saturday March 31. There is no casualty of wild life.
The fire was manmade and officials suspect the Mahua fruit pickers started this. Mahaling said the South division officials worked too hard to control this fire.
