RJD chief lalu Prasad while coming out of the Special CBI Court after appearing in a fodder scam case here opposed the Government’s move to withdraw subsidy on Haj pilgrimage and accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of becoming so arrogant that he has started putting hurdles between people and their god.
Prasad on Wednesday was brought to the Civil Court to appear in a fodder scam case, RC47A/96 related to fraudulent withdrawal of more than Rs 139 crore from Doranda Treasury. Incidentally, Narendra Modi Government on Tuesday withdrew the subsidy given to pilgrims undertaking Haj to Mecca and Medina from this year. “It is really unfortunate that Modi has become so arrogant that he is not allowing people to go the house of god. Prasad, referring to Vishwa Hindu Parishad president Praveen Togadia’s allegations that he went into hiding for a brief period on Tuesday as he feared police will kill him in an encounter, said sarcastically that he has not been disclosing that where he had gone leaving the Z plus security provided to him. “He must disclose where he had gone during the missing period,” said RJD chief.
