Wintry condition likely to persist further

Even post Holi colder weather condition is likely to persist with drizzle and cold air circulating in most places of Jharkhand and influencing the mercury level to an extent in the spring season, when the temperature remains serene. However, according to weather experts, after few weeks, the condition will become subtle giving respite to denizens from this wintry condition that prevails especially during morning and evening.

With no sign in further change in temperature, most parts of the State will be under the influence of wintry weather condition for some more time. Nevertheless, the weather expert has termed the situation normal and is also expecting light rain at few places of the State in the coming days.

“For the month of March, this is a very casual situation. Due to sudden atmospheric change and disturbance, the existing condition will prevail for another one week. Two trough lines was crossing over Jharkhand that has increased the cold. The moisture supply at upper layer has augmented. The wind speed has been amplified with light precipitation that has occurred in some parts of the State as well,” said, Director, MET Ranchi Centre, BK Mondal.

Notably, according to the MET Ranchi Centre prediction for the next three days, dry weather will continue without affecting the mercury level much. Though, the experts have denied heavy rainfall but rain with thunderstorm is likely to impinge on north-eastern (NE) Jharkhand covering districts from Dhanbad to Pakur belt.
