Executive Director (P & A) Sameer Swarup gave shields and trophies to the winning teams, Man of the Tournament, Best Batsman and Best Bowler of Inter Departmental Cricket Tournament 2021-22 in a programme organized in the Committee Room of Ispat Bhawan. CGM (P & A) Hari Mohan Jha, GM (Liaison & Administration) NA Saifi, GM (TA) AK Avinash, Senior Manager (Sports & Civil Amenities) Subhash Rajak, Members of the winning team including Manoj Kumar Jha (Tournament Coordinator) were present during the event.
It is noteworthy that an inter-departmental cricket tournament was organized by the Sports and Civil Amenities Department of Bokaro Steel Plant from 2 December-21 to 3 January-22 in which 14 teams from Bokaro Steel Plant and Jharkhand Group of Mines played 48 matches. The match between Iron Zone and M&U-2, which reached the final, was not played due to Covid compliances and they were declared joint winners. The man of the tournament awarded to CB Jha (Mill Zone-I) who showed exceptional talent in the tournament, Mayur Raut (Iron Zone) was adjudged the best batsman and Manoj Kumar Jha (P&A Zone) as the best bowler.
