In a bizarre incident, a 35 year old widow woman, Amravati Devi (name changed) from Angawali village of Peterwar block was allegedly raped late Tuesday-Wednesday night by her father-in- law in a relation in the her house at Bandhtudu tola in Kasmar block where she was living alone .
The matter came to light when she reached a local Kasmar police station here on Thursday and police came to know about the incident, said officer-in-charge Chandervan Ram.The police later arrested the Babu lal Soron the father in law of the victim on Thursday on the basis of statement given by the rape victim.
In this connection, police have lodged an FIR (64/15) against the one Babu lal Soron under Section 376 of IPC .In her FIR, the widow woman told police that Babu lal Soron had come to house on Tuesday evening and stayed at my house in the night .late in the night he came to room when I was sleeping and caught me from behind and assaulted her sexually.
Preliminary examination suggests she has been raped ,medical examination on the widow has also been ordered, but it will take a couple of more tests to conclude the report, the matter is being investigated .
