Ranchi DC Vinay Kumar Choubey on Wednesday held a meeting on Republic Day preparations and issued a number of instructions for the celebration on January 26. The meeting was attended by officials of the district administration.
The meeting discussed deputing officials for inviting Governor of Jharkhand Syed Ahmed for unfurling the national flag. It was decided that Deputy Development Commissioner and Ranchi SSP will approach the Governor on the morning of January 26 and will invite him to the programme.
A joint parade of one platoon each of CISF, Army, CRPF, ITBP, Jharkhand Jaguar, JAP-1, JAP-2, DAP, SSB, JAP-10, Homeguard (Rural), NCCSR with arms for boys, NCCSR (Air Force), NCCSR girls besides two units of Fire Brigade and bands of Army, CRPF, JAP, Homeguard.
It was decided in the meeting that parade commander will be official of Army and rehearsal of parade will also take place under the command of the Army officials. Deputation of police officials will be made by Ranchi SSP and the officials will coordinate parade activities with Army officials. As per the decision of the district administration, parade rehearsal will begin from January 18 and will culminate on January 24.
