On the 10th death anniversary of Justice LPN Shahdeo, tributes poured from a cross section of society alongwith prominent people of the State including Jharkhand Governor, Ramesh Bais, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Union Minister Arjun Munda, BJP State President cum MP Deepak Prakash, former Chief Ministers Babulal Marandi and Raghubar Das, former Deputy Chief Minister and AJSU Supremo Sudesh Mahto, Finance Minister Dr Rameshwar Oraon, MP Sanjay Seth and many other dignitaries.
On the 10th death anniversary of Justice LPN Shahdeo, the leader of the Jharkhand movement and the first judge of Jharkhandi origin, Jharkhand Governor, Ramesh Bais, while paying tribute to him, remembered his active role in the movement for a separate State of Jharkhand.
In his tribute message, Chief Minister, Hemant Soren said that despite being in judicial service, he irrigated the Jharkhand movement with his intellectual energy without being bound by any party. The Chief Minister called upon the coming generations should follow the path shown by him.
Paying his tributes, Union Minister Arjun Munda said that Justice Shahdeo played an important role in the movement for separate state of Jharkhand. He paid tributes to the eminent jurist on his death anniversary.
Jharkhand BJP State President and MP Deepak Prakash said that Justice Shahdeo was a frontline warrior, eminent jurist and a true son of the land of Jharkhand movement.
Finance and Food Supplies Minister, Dr Rameshwar Oraon said that Justice Shahdeo has played an important role in the creation of a separate state of Jharkhand. He led the movement and organized everyone and gave the power of struggle to the tribals and the indigenous people to achieve their rights, he added.
Former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi, while paying tribute to Justice Shahdeo, said that Jharkhand was the first Justice to be arrested in the movement, who watered the movement with his intellectual energy. Marandi said that his ideals and ideas are relevant even today.
Paying his tributes, former Chief Minister, Raghubar Das said that Justice Shahdeo was the leader of the Jharkhand Movement and the people of Jharkhand will always be remembered with gratitude for his invaluable contribution.
Former Deputy Chief Minister and AJSU Supremo, Sudesh Mahto said that Justice Shahdeo was the first native High Court judge of Jharkhand, who was a jurist as well as a leader of the Jharkhand movement. His personality and thoughts will always inspire us to move forward and build a strong and prosperous Jharkhand, he added.
Lok Sabha MP from Ranchi, Sanjay Seth said that Justice Shahdeo was the leader of the Jharkhand movement and a source of inspiration for citizens like him. His thoughts on the path shown by him, his whole life is exemplary for everyone. Apart from this, MLA Amar Bauri, Congress leader Alok Dubey, Dr Rajesh Gupta, Lal Kishore Nath Shahdeo and many other MPs, MLAs, agitators and dignitaries also paid tribute to Justice Shahdeo on his death anniversary.
Due to the increasing corona infection, the big event was not held at Justice Shahdeo Chowk. In the morning, his family went to the square and paid tribute to him. Pratul Shahdeo, son of Justice Shahdeo, daughters Sangeeta Dev, Kriti Singh, Babita Singh, Shilpi Singhdeo, daughter-in-law Vidya Jha, granddaughter Shambhavi Prabha, grandson Shaurya Pratap, Satya Prakash, Raja, Satyam, Gopal, Rahul, and others were present on the occasion.
