Mortal remains of first woman Chief Secretary of State, Lakshmi Singh, were consigned to flames at Harmu Muktidham on Sunday. A gamut of civil servants including Chief Secretary Sudhir Tripathi, Home Secretary SKG Rahate, DGP DK Pandey, Additional CS Sukhdev Singh, Secretaries KK Soan, Rahul Sharma, Himani Pandey, Ranchi DC RM Ray and many retired IAS officers like Mukhtyaar Singh, State Information Commissioner Aditya Swarup, Ranchi SSP and DIG were also present. The last rites were performed with State honour.
Earlier former Chief Secretaries Shiv Basant and Ashok Singh and former Union Govt Secretary Sunila Basant visited the residence of Singh to pay their last respect.
