White scar skin treatment is rather common in Jharkhand, though there are various treatments available for this, but the State residents are not aware about it.
To spread the awareness among the people about the various types of skin diseases and their treatment available Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and laprologists (IADVSl) organised a two-day conference at RIMS hall on Saturday. Dr S Das from Kolkata said, “White scar disease in not an incurable disease. With the help of surgery it can be cured but ironically people here are not aware about it and are of the illusion that it is an incurable disease.”
According to Skin Disease Association president Dr Talwar in the past five years the graph of skin treatment had shown an increasing trend. Along with cosmetic surgery many other surgerys have been started as a result of which many incurable skin diseases can be cured now. Moreover, the trust of people has also grown in these surgeries as there is no side effect.”
Meanwhile, the doctors have quoted the unauthorised beauty parlours the basic reason of skin disease. Dr Gurmohan said, “80 per cent of the skin diseases are due to unauthorised beauty parlours. It has been found that the products that they use only provide shine for a stipulated period and after that it shown its negative impact. It is essential to that people should look after it and should avail those products only which suits there skin.”
