Seven different plans are running successfully under the social welfare department of the administration. The plans which are running under social welfare department are Savitri Bai Phuley Kishori Smardhi Yojana, Social Malpractice Yojana, Physical, Handicap equipment’s Yojana, Mukhiyamantri Kanyadan Yojana, Mukhiymantri Sukanya Yojana and Purak Poshhara Yojana.
In Savitri Bai Phuley Kishori Smardhi Yojana, the social welfare department has distributed Rs 14,49,92,500 among 401330 girls in the last financial year (2022-23). In the present financial year the department has distributed Rs 12,62,500 among 145 beneficiaries till June 30th .
In Social Malpractice elimination Yojana the department has spent 14,22,197 rupees from 2020-21 to 2022-23 till June 30. The work is under process which will be finished at the last of the financial year.
Physical Handicap equipment, the department has given different equipment to 443 differently abled persons at the cost of rupees 6,06,750 from 2020-21 to 2022-23. In the present financial year the allotment has not been received by the department from the state government.
Also, 213 beneficiaries have received benefits under the Mukhiyamantri Kanyadaan Yojana in the district of rupees 63.90 lakh rupees from the social welfare department.
In Purak Poshahaar Karyakarm Yojana the department has spent 13.69 crore rupees. The department has not received the allotment in this financial year by the state government. As the allotment will be received by department the remaining cases will be cleared which are pending due to lack of allotment.
District social welfare officer Prabha Rani Khalko said that we are trying our best to clear the cases as early as possible. The applications were submitted by the applicant in the concern blocks. The block has to send the application to the district headquarter social welfare office.
We have instructed all the block development officers not to delay to clear the all basic formalities of the application. We are reviewing the progress of every social plan every month in the district headquarter.
