We have not done justice to Bose yet: Sinha

Published on:

When we go through the stories of freedom movement and its heroes, it always comes in my mind that neither the Government of India nor we the citizens of India have done justice with the great freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. He had yet not been given the recognition and respect he deserves,” said BJP MP from Hazaribagh Yashwant Sinha in a program organised jointly by Bengali Association and Union Club & library on Thursday.

Sinha said that Hazaribagh is fortunate that in 1940 Bose had spent three days here to encourage the citizens of this small town to participate in the freedom movement. He appealed to all present to do something extraordinary in memory of Netaji that the denizens of Hazaribagh should feel attachment with him throughout the year.

Ex-MP Bhuvaneshwar Prasad Mehta said that in the struggle of freedom the role of revolutionaries like Netaji, Bhagat Singh, Chandra Shekhar Azad cannot be ignored and we have got independence only by truth and non-violence. Calling secularism as the backbone of our country Mehta said Netaji  always believed in taking all in his movements and the Indian National Army is one example.
