On 15th August 1947 we got our government but yet not got good governance. Bharitya Suraaj Manch, a civil-society organisation, has been formed with an objective to bring good governance both at Centre and States, and for it for the first time in Indian History we are forming people’s jury to apply practically the theory of “peoples vote, people’s candidate”. It was said by the convener of Suraaj Manch Ex-IPS PK Siddharth in a PC held on Thursday at NBJK office Hazaribagh.

Ex-president of Indian Press Council Justice PV Sawant is the chairman of our central people’s jury while film Director Shyam Benegal, Ex-IPS J Rebero, Veteran Media man Ram Bahadur Rai and others are member. Justice Vikramaditya Prasad is the chairman, Retd. IAS laxmi Singh and others are in Jharkhand State people’s jury, informed Siddharth.

After giving oath to the chairman and members of newly formed Hazaribagh people’s jury Justice Prasad said that since very little time is left in Parliamentary Election so this time through people’s jury of district level we aim to choose the better ones among all candidates in every constituency. For it we will have to gather some information about the candidates. The assessment will be placed before the voters with a hope that they will think upon it. Before next Election we will constitute such juries at Assembly constituency level which will work both as an adviser to the voters and a search team to choose people’s candidates.

Convener PK Siddharth added that to fulfill the aim work is going on centrally too and the final advice to the voters will be based on reports of both central research team and local jury. The team members of local jury will arrange interactive sessions with the candidates and different groups of voter to come to final conclusion.

Girja Satish of NBJK, Md. Islam Khan of DlSA Hazaribagh, Preeti Sinha of Juvenile Justice Board, Advocate Bhaiya Mukesh Kumar, MP Mehta of Public School, Kurha, Ichak, Media man Umesh Rana, Retd. DSP Anil Kispotta, JP Jain, lakshman Ravi, Retd. Colonel Dr RC Vishwakarma, Retd Professor Kiran Rana, Dr SN Singh, Dr SB Choudhary and Suraj Dayal took oath as members of District Peoples’ Jury.
