Covid-19 vaccine can now be taken more easily in rural areas of Ranchi district. Now villagers will not have to register themselves and do slot booking for the vaccine in the vaccination centres set up in rural areas.
The system of walk-in is being started in the vaccination centres of rural areas by Ranchi district administration. While reviewing the vaccination work in the district, Deputy Commissioner Ranchi, Chhavi Ranjan directed to make arrangements for walk-in in the vaccination centres of rural areas here on Saturday. This arrangement is being made for the convenience of the people in rural areas.
With the provision of walk-in vaccination centres in rural areas, people will no longer need to register and do slot booking. Also, there will be no compulsion of age group in these vaccination centres. Anyone over the age of 18 can get the vaccine here.
In the meeting, the DC instructed to arrange walk-in for the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine in the vaccination centres set up in the urban area of Ranchi. The Deputy Commissioner gave necessary directions to the concerned officials in this regard.
Slot booking will have to be done for the first dose of Covid-19 in the urban area of Ranchi. Now, slots will be published everyday at 7.00 pm instead of 9.00 pm. Necessary guidelines were given by the Deputy Commissioner to the DIO regarding the publication of slots.
The number of slots for the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine in urban areas is also being increased so that more and more people can be vaccinated.
In the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner asked officials to give more impetus to the vaccination work in the district.
