What could one have said? Maybe this: the man hunched over his motorcycle can focus only on the present instant of his flight. He is caught in a fragment of time cut off from both the past and the future.

He is wrenched from the continuity of time. He is outside the frenzy of time. In other words, he is in a state of ecstasy. In that condition he is unaware of his age, his wife, his children, his worries, and so he has no fear, because the source of fear is in future and a person freed of foresight has nothing to fear. Motorbiking is all about speed, flair and the fun of riding beyond inhibitions. For it's rightfully listed" If everything seems under control, you're not going fast enough."

You are not protected by few tonnes of steels, rubber, foam padding and safety glasses. Neither are you steering two tonnes of a guided missile towards other cars, people or property. If you are prepared to accept the responsibility of your actions then motorcycling is both safe and electrifying.

Riding is celebrated as an art as well as a craft and no amount of explanation can take the place of experience. Simply because it takes four wheels to move the body and only two wheels to move the soul.
