Voting is biggest power for women

Published on:

Women from both rural and urban areas must cast their vote as it is their biggest power. Unless women do not exercise this power, the laws and policies meant for them cannot be implemented properly.

Women should cast their vote for the candidates of their choice irrespective of caste and communism. Only those candidates should be preferred who have a track record of serving the society and not those who try to influence their thoughts with fake promises of development.

With the voting strength of our gender the ‘Women’s Reservation Bill’ which proposes to amend the Constitution of India to reserve 33 per cent of all seats in lok Sabha (lS), and in all legislative Assemblies for women might be passed by the lok Sabha at the earliest. Mahua Maji is Chairperson of Jharkhand State Women’s Commission
