Voting can eradicate corruption from society

Voting, considered as our constitutional right, will help in eradicating corruption from our society. India is said to have maximum number of young voters, so it is obvious that our increasing strength in voting will ensure good governance in all the States. Election Commission, the State Government and civil societies need to organise long-term programmes to create such awareness and get a good response in return. We youngsters have the power to bring positive changes within our society. A candidate contesting for the post of lok Sabha MP is a deserving one only if he or she is continuously dedicated to the development of society through deeds and not merely by words. As voter, we too are perfect only if we are constantly participating in public centric discussions through audio-visual media, print media or curricular activities. For instance, various brands are scripting advertisements on choosing a candidate on the basis of his or her talent and not by community or party. Even, the radio jockeys are encouraging us to cast vote instead of just gossiping within our home premises. It is time to say ‘Jaago voter Jaago’. literacy rate is slowly increasing then why not express our citizenship responsibility lessons taught in schools by casting vote. Our vote may result in reducing the rate of petrol, gas cylinder, vegetables, stationary items and clothes.
