A new twist came in the case related to FIR on Amba Prasad, daughter of former Agriculture Minister Yogendra Saw and Barkagaon MlA Nirmala Devi. On the basis of the audio clip Saw alleged that the FIR was a pre planned conspiracy of Barkagaon police, which on August 1 lodged an FIR against Amba under sections 323, 341, 147, 186, 504 and 505 of the IPC. Charges were made that Amba went to Ghaghra Dam construction site in Keredari and forced the workers to stop the work there. The FIR was lodged on the complaint of one chowkidar Gulam Mustafa.
Amba’s parents as well as his brother Sumit are facing cases of extortion and disrupting works at sites of NTPC. last year during an agitation led by Nirmala Devi, four students got killed in police firing.
With case registered on Amba, her father Yogendra Saw talked to chowkidar Mustafa over phone. He asked Mustafa as to how he became complainant in this case. In the 10-minutes conversation between them, Mustafa allegedly replied that he knew nothing and senior police officials of Barkagaon forcefully taken his signature on a blank paper. According to the audio he said when FIR was lodged, than he came to know that the blank paper on which he put his signature was used to lodge the FIR. Mustafa even heard saying in the audio clip “Ek chowkidar ki hasiyat hi kya hai. Adhikari bole aur maine signature kar diya (What is the stance of a Chowkidarij Officials said and I signed.” He said in this clip that he was asked to follow his senior officials in this matter after the FIR was lodged against Amba.
Amba said that she was shocked to know about the FIR on her. She said that she went to the construction site after getting complaint of sub standard work. “I was there as the representative of MlA Nirmala Devi. FIR was a conspiracy of police to suppress my voice against the corruption going on in various government works at Barkagaon and Keredari. I will not remain silent now,” she said.
Yogendra Saw said that the FIR on Amba was a conspiracy, similar to cases lodged on him, his wife Nirmala and son Sumit in recent times. He said he talked to Mustafa and the entire conspiracy came in front of all. Now, this audio clip viral on social media, people criticizing police and raising finger on its working at Barkagaon, he said.
