Cabinet Secretariat and Vigilance department Ranchi has informed Kamlesh Kumar Pandey, resident of Hamidganj in Daltonganj that action has been initiated against Nilamber Pitamber University following his compaint.
In response to Pandey’s query under RTI Act, a letter — dated July 25 signed by vigilance department’s public information officer Sanjay Kumar Pandey — said that action has been initiated on Pandey’s complaint of financial irregularities and academic corruption in the Nilamber Pitamber University here. The vigilance letter asked Pandey to deposit `8 to get a certified copy of the action taken in this regard.
The letter further read that Pandey’s complaint was sent to HRD department, Ranchi for an enquiry into his allegations against the Nilamber Pitamber University. The HRD department was further requested to make available its enquiry report with its comments to the vigilance department. However, there is no word about HRD’s enquiry report and any comment in this letter. The letter claimed that the department has accepted the clippings of newspapers as evidence in this matter.
