Vernacular invites to lure rural masses

Ahead of Narendra Modi’s rally on December 29, the State BJP unit is busy calling the State residents through invitation cards published in several languages including Urdu, Sadri, Bengali, Santhali and Hindi languages apart from English. As many as 10 lakh invitation cards have been published and are being distributed across the State for the event.

“Our party’s main objective is to reach out people of all the sections of the society. For this reason, we have sent the design of the invitation card to all districts and block in-charges. Also, we are inviting people through Rath Yatras, battery operated autos, rickshaw and cycle campaigns. The best part is people especially in the rural areas are excited over their participation. We will continue the campaigns till the night hours of December 28,” said general secretary of the State BJP

Anant Ojha.

According to sources, BJP’s prime ministerial candidate-cum-Gujarat Chief Minister Modi has asked the members to ensure that large population of minority category joins the rally. Kamaal Khan, the in-charge of minority group in this party said, “At State level approximately 10,000 to 20,000 cards have been published in Urdu language. We are just translating the language of Hindi invitation card in Urdu. Recently, I visited Sahebganj, Pakur and Godda districts. People of our Muslim community are excited to hear the inspiring words of Narendra Modi.”

However, BJP members seemed worried on accommodating sufficient transportation facilities to all the districts exclusively for this rally. “We have arranged four special trains, buses and many small vehicles for December 29 Vijay Sankalp Rally. But are sure that they will not be sufficient for public transportation to this rally spot,” maintained two members of State BJP.

Besides, the above mentioned regional languages, the state party authorities have given liberty to the district party representatives for printing of invitation card in any of the tribal languages so that people from every house of urban and rural areas get an opportunity to hear the speech of Modi on face to face mode. “For people who are more comfortable with street plays, our young brigade men are inviting people by wearing mask of Modi’s face,” said Anant Ojha.

The members are expecting a large crowd at this rally similar to a marriage. Ojha said that people are being invited as if they are requested to attend the marriage of a daughter or son.
