A vaccination team led by sadar SDO Rajesh kr Sah and district epidemiologist Dr Anup kr Singh along with the ANM Sunita Ekka today vaccinated people by the side of the letter box situated outside the head post office Daltonganj who had no time off for it.
ANM Sunita Ekka said the SDO and the doctor were asking eligible passersby if they have taken any dose of the vaccine or not. Surprisingly more than a dozen eligibles in 15+ group turned up and took the jab.
The idea behind such locale was to convey a message to the eligibles that vaccination can be done anywhere except toilet.
SDO sadar Rajesh kr Sah said he and his team today embarked upon from the Teen Kuniya garage. This location has people who live by day. They mend tyres, repair punctures and all other related works of automobile. A mechanic here said we repair punctures little knowing that without the vaccine our lives would also be punctured.
SDO sadar explained further that the team going down the street like this where there are barber shop, tea wallah, paan wallah, motor mechanic, spare parts shop etc there are eligibles in both age groups 15+ and 18+ whose faces have not met our vaccinators the ANMs and we want them to face our vaccinators and we are confident of their getting ready for the vaccination.
Sah said there is none to shirk the vaccinator now as the sight of the vaccinator right before the eyes increases the level of confidence of the eligibles.
