UPA holds protest against ‘misuse’ of Central agencies at Raj Bhawan

The leaders of the ruling coalition of United Progressive Alliance (UPA), on Monday, staged a sit-in in front of the Raj Bhavan. After the protest, the coalition parties through Governor Ramesh Bais submitted a memorandum to President Draupadi Murmu. In the memorandum submitted, the allies demanded a stay on the action of the central agencies.

During the protest, the ED summons sent to the Chief Minister, Heamnt Soren and the action of the agencies on the MLAs were opposed. Leaders and workers of JMM, Congress and RJD took part in this demonstration.

Participating Rajya Sabha MP, Mahua Manji said that the Central Government is always engaged in destabilizing the Governments of non-BJP ruled states of the Country. “They have always been exposing their conspiracy and will continue to do so. The Central Government's Operation Lotus in Jharkhand will never be successful,” she added.

Minister Mithlesh Thakur, who participated in the protest, said that the party leaders have got a big relief from the Supreme Court. “Now it is the responsibility of the Governor, who is also the state and our guardian that they should not come under any pressure. He is sitting on a constitutional post. It is necessary that they provide justice to Chief Minister Hemant Soren and the people of the State,” he added.

The JMM, Congress and RJD have alleged through the memorandum that efforts are being made to oust the coalition Government, which was elected with the highest public support since the formation of the State, today with the help of Central Agencies so that the leaders of the coalition party submitted a memorandum to President Draupadi Murmu. The memorandum has been sent to the President through Governor Ramesh Bais.

In the memorandum submitted, the leaders of the Grand Alliance have demanded a stay on the action of the Central Agencies. It says that being the guardian of the Constitution, you cannot watch the rip-off of democracy in silence. You have to save the federal structure from being torn apart. We cannot stop the Central Agencies. But you can definitely ask for it.

It has been said in the memorandum that when the Hemant Government was working in adverse conditions like COVID, then instead of playing the role of a responsible opposition, the BJP was making a malicious attempt to overthrow the elected government. From the attempt to break the MLAs, the misuse of central agencies started. This cycle continues continuously. If we look at the role of central agencies in the last 6 months, it will be self-evident that their sole objective is to topple the elected government.
