UPA alliance will win all 15 seats: JPCC

Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) on Sunday claimed that the Grand Alliance will win in all 15 constituencies going to polls on Monday in the fourth phase of Assembly elections in Jharkhand.

Addressing a press meet, JPCC In-charge RPN Singh said that the Grand Alliance will win in all the seats where polling is to be held in the fourth and fifth phases of elections. The UPA alliance, he added, will dominate in the fifth phase of polls in Santhal Pargana.

Attacking the Centre led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the State Government led by Chief Minister Raghubar Das, the JPCC In-charge said that a large number of youths are becoming unemployed every day but the Centre and the State Government are not doing anything to provide them employment.

“The PM visited the State and addressed an election rally but he did not say a single word on cases of rape which is regularly taking place, he did not say a single word on growing unemployment and he did not say any word on present condition of Jharkhand, he only spoke against Congress Party. We never said anything obnoxious against him but he is wasting time in criticizing Congress Party,” said Singh.

Singh said that cases of rape are displaying the actual law and order situation of the State and the Government has completely failed to prevent such kinds of incident. “In every six hour one girl is being raped but the Prime Minister did not say anything on this issue,” he added.

Congress is contesting the elections under Grand Alliance, which consists of INC, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and former Bihar Chief Minister; Lalu Prasad Yadav-led Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). Under the seat sharing pact with the alliance partners, JMM is contesting 43 seats, INC got 31 seats and RJD is contesting 7 seats.

Mocking the Prime Minister, the JPCC In-charge said that PM said in Santhal Paragana that he will protect water, land and forest of the State but he should clarify that how his Chief Minister brought amendments to Chhotanagpur Tenancy Act and Santhal Paragan Tenancy Act (CNT and SPT Act) which provides shelter to water, land and forest.

JPCC Spokesperson Lal Kishorenath Shahdeo and State Spokesperson, Alok Dubey were present on the occasion.
