It is a matter of pride for me that honorable chancellor has given me an opportunity to work as a vice chancellor of Vinoba Bhave University and at this moment I can say only that the university will run as per act and statute.
It was stated by the Commissioner of North Chotanagpur division Dr. Nitin Madan Kulkarni who is going to resume the charge of the office of the Vice Chancellor of VBU in the afternoon of 26th of August. When asked about the irregularities he said that if any matter will come before him then he will do everything as per law. Kulkarni said that universities are made for academic purpose and he would like to do something during his tenure to fulfill this purpose. He assured that his aim will be complete development with the help of every member of the university.
On Saturday Dr. NM Kulkarni was at Ranchi as he is the secretary of agriculture ministry too. When asked about the increasing tendency of anarchy of the vice chancellors in the universities he assured that during his tenure you will not hear anything which could be taken as partiality. I will go through the rules and the directives of Chancellor Office, he added.
The fax message of Raj Bhawan which came here in the afternoon suddenly changed the scenario of VBU. The message washed away the enthusiasm of both VC Dr. RN Bhagat and PVC Dr. AK Srivastava and their trusted as one was lobbying for another term and other was expecting charge of the office. Suddenly everything going on to welcome Chancellor, CM and ministers on 26th stopped in the university.
The message also changed the tone of some officers, teachers and staffs of VBU. Now the majority is openly saying that a thorough probe of the entire tenure of Dr. RN Bhagat is necessary as his sins have made this university ill and the Chancellor should take strong action against him so that in future no one can dare taking decisions like him. About Dr. Nitin Madan Kulkarni the general opinion in the campus was that he is a strict officer who abides the rules and regulations. Though everybody knows that it is a part time arrangement but everybody hopes that he will certainly cure this ill university.
